Jettyless Ammonia Terminal

Depending on design parameters, Imodco can propose CALM or TLU Terminals for Ammonia transfer application.
Both solutions are weathervaning, suitable for “open sea” sites, with following characteristics:

  • High Uptime: soft mooring system allowing for larger ship motions.
  • High Flexibility: one system designed for several ship sizes.
  • Cost Efficiency: low CAPEX (no breakwater), low OPEX (no dredging).
  • Shorter schedule: prefabricated items.

CO2 injection Terminal

The TLU, combined with a CO2 shipping rotation, is part of a virtual pipeline, and allows the direct injection of CO2 into offshore depleted gas reservoirs. The system is weathervaning and can be installed in “open sea” area; it can operate even in harsh weather conditions. Therefore, it leaves much more options for the location of the terminal.

Leveraging our experience in jettyless projects and our expertise in LNG components development (cryogenic swivels, cryogenic floating hoses), we have developed the Tower Loading Unit (TLU), a solution adapted to pressurized and cold products.

A proven technology

The operability of the TLU has been demonstrated through similar applications for oil product transfer. Moreover, it provides all the safety features inherent to an offshore transfer application, such as ESD1 and ESD2 functions.
